Area of Research: Theories of Conflict

Phoebe Bruce is a PhD candidate in the Department of Political Science. She is interested in socio-psychological theories of conflict, political violence, and inter-group prejudice. Since immigrating to Israel, she has completed two degrees (with honors) at Tel Aviv University: a BA in multidisciplinary humanities and an MA in political science. Prior to pursuing doctoral studies, Phoebe served as a policy fellow at Mitvim (The Israeli Institute for Regional Foreign Policies). She also worked as a research assistant in various projects relating to policy in Israel-Palestine.

פיבי ברוס היא דוקטורנטית במחלקה למדע המדינה. במסגרת זו היא מתעניינת בתיאוריות סוציו-פסיכולוגיות של סכסוך, אלימות פוליטית ודעות קדומות בין-קבוצתיות. מאז שעלתה לארץ סיימה שני תארים (בהצטיינות) באוניברסיטת תל אביב: תואר ראשון במדעי הרוח בתוכנית הרב-תחומית ותואר שני במדע המדינה. בנוסף לכך ובטרם פנתה ללימודי דוקטורט, שימשה כעמיתת מדיניות במיתווים – המכון הישראלי למדיניות חוץ אזורית. במקביל גם עבדה כעוזרת מחקר בפרויקטים שונים שעסקו במדיניות בישראל-פלסטין.
